Christmas Morning 2010

For the past few years, my husband and I have been waking up early at our house, opening gifts together, then heading over to my parents' house. My brother is still young and that makes for really fun Christmas mornings.

Here he is seeing all his gifts for the first time.

Gifts from Santa aren't wrapped. This allows for lots of immediate excitement when he first walks out Christmas morning.

He got a new Harry Potter book, a K-Nex ferris wheel, a Bop It Bounce...

A fedora...

And a beanbag chair. Too cool for school.

He checked his letter for Santa that requested a reply.

He asked Santa if he was friends with the Tooth Fairy because he had lost a tooth that day and they might come at the same time.

The last gift he had to open was this huge one from our mom.

And inside was another wrapped box.

Then another.

And... you get the idea.

At this point, he started getting really excited, though my mom kept saying it was just a bunch of empty boxes.

And the realization.

And complete joy.

It was an iPod Touch. He had been saving his money for a few months and was about halfway there. My mom just pitched in the other half and came up with the great wrapping idea.

That's 7 boxes plus the actual iPod case.

Oh, and the tooth fairy left him a iTunes gift card ;)
